This house in Evergreen, Colorado iis framed with timbers from trees harvested on site

The biggest trees that had to come down were milled after drying to 4”x8” & 8”x8” timbers. Being ponderosa pine, the structure still required structural stud walls to share the loads. The timbers allowed us of 2’x6’ studs at 24” on center.
